SERIOUS INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

CrisisReady

When seconds count, confidence matters.

CrisisReady trains leaders and frontline staff to stay calm, think clearly, and take effective action during serious workplace incidents — from violence and threats to medical or emotional emergencies.

Course Overview

Serious incidents can happen anywhere — from healthcare and education settings to corporate or community environments. CrisisReady is a one-day, in-person training program that teaches leaders and frontline staff how to recognize, respond to, and stabilize high-stress events such as violence, medical emergencies, or behavioral crises. You’ll leave prepared to act decisively and lead with calm confidence during the first critical minutes of any incident.

Serious incidents rarely wait for help to arrive — and when they do occur, the first few minutes can determine whether a situation is contained or spirals out of control. Across Canada, the average emergency response time ranges from 7 to 10 minutes in urban areas, and can exceed 15–20 minutes in rural or industrial zones. During that gap, your team is the first response. Their ability to recognize risk, stabilize the situation, and communicate effectively can save lives, prevent injury, and protect your organization’s reputation. But response isn’t just about physical safety — it’s about psychological readiness. Even experienced staff can freeze, panic, or make poor decisions under stress if they haven’t trained for it. Research in occupational psychology shows that performance can drop by up to 60% when individuals face high stress without structured practice. Most workplaces train for fire drills and basic first aid — yet few prepare their people for behavioural incidents, aggression, or sudden crises like medical events, threats, or violent outbursts. In today’s world, every organization — from schools to healthcare to corporate offices — faces potential exposure to: - Violence and aggression from clients, patients, or the public - Medical or mental-health emergencies requiring immediate triage - Environmental or safety hazards (fire, gas leaks, or structural failures) - Allegations or critical events that demand calm, documented response CrisisReady™ fills that gap. It equips your staff not just to react, but to lead through the chaos — preserving safety, dignity, and professionalism until specialized responders take over.
